Apple Pancakes

How to Make Apple Pancakes
Ever have the mornings you get up and don't know what to eat for breakfast. You want something warm and delicious for your day. These apple pancakes will be sure to wake you up for a bright day and get you off to a good start. They are even healthy to get your habits off to a good start.

Healthy Apple Pancakes

2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 cups of milk or yogurt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
3 medium apples, peeled and coarsely grated(granny smith/yellow delicious)
Extra flavorings (cinnamon, coconut, walnuts)
Vegetable oil, for frying

1. Mix the eggs with the milk or yogurt in a large bowl.
2. In a smaller bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
3. Combine the wet and the dry ingredients and stir in the apples and whatever other flavorings you see fit.
4. Heat a thin layer of oil in a skillet over low to medium heat. Drop large spoonful of batter into the pan and flatten it out a little (otherwise, you might have trouble getting them to cook in the center) and cook until golden brown underneath. Flip the pancakes and cook them for an additional two or three minutes.
5. Either dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately, or keep on a tray in a warmed oven until you are ready to serve them.

This recipe does call for frying the pancakes, but it is not as bad for you as you think. Vegetable oil has less fat than lard or butter, so it is healthier than other pancakes. Make sure your oil is hot before you start to. Flick a little bit of excess flour into the oil, and if it starts sizzling, then the oil is hot enough. Make sure to oil doesn't start to smoke otherwise it is too hot and your pancakes might have a slight burnt taste to them. Using whole wheat flour will also make your breakfast a little bit healthier. Opt for maple syrup with no artificial flavoring.

Tech Article 4

The new Wii U console has not reached the quarterly mark that Nintendo expected it to be. The 3DS handheld has just been a disappointment outside of Japan. Nintendo does not embrace the new trends of technology. That is the reason Apple has been successful, trying to come up with the new thing. Nintendo has not been with the trends though. Nintendo tries to make their own new trend, but it does not work out. After inventing the Gamecube in 2001, the sales have plummeted. When the original Wii was created, sales shot up for Nintendo. Now they have created a different take with the Wii, but it is not doing well.

The Wii U is not making any large society changes like Apple. Nintendo is just trying to make ends meet and come up with the next new thing. After starting the Wii trend, they believe that they can do whatever they want and people will buy their products. This is not true in our society. We buy the newest and the best things. We want products that meet our everyday experiences and are fun. After playing the Wii, it loses its charm. New things came out like the Kinect where a controller wasn't even needed. Nintendo does not understand the wants of American people, only the Japanese.

Tech Article #3

Since Apple's revenue has fallen dramatically, the Apple creators have still not decided to make a new smart TV. This has come because the iPhone 5 did not bring in as much revenue as expected. Consumers tended to go buy the iPhone 4. Apple creators also made a cheaper iPad, the iPad mini, which allowed consumers to still buy an Apple product, but at a cheaper price. This year is just a bad year for Apple. No new technology has been announced since last October from the iPad mini. Stocks are starting to plummet, but Apple still won't do anything. They need to come up with a new tech device fast.

If Apple does decide to make a TV, then their sales will surely go up. Apple creators are just being difficult though. They want to think of something more creative than a TV for Apple. Apple is about coming up with new technology ideas. Even a new type of laptop will be able to boost their revenue, but there is a possibility that the Apple company has something in the works. They might just be saving the release for the right time. People have been waiting for an easier way to search the TV channels for a couple years now. All these channels and networks, start to mash together, creating chaos. The iTV would revolutionize TV's like the iPhone did to cell phone markets, and the iPod did to the music industry.

Tech Article Assignment 2

In Ottawa, Canada, police need to get a special court order to intercept text messages. An ordinary search warrant is not enough for the police to take your personal messages without you knowing. The Supreme Court of Canada ruled that this new search warrant should be issued for intercepting text messages. This scope that is used on a phone is between the two people texting each other. This would mean that this is like a conversation that the court cannot rule to take. Phone calls are using the same communication, and the court explained that text messages should be allowed the same privacy. All phone companies store text messages for up to 30 days after the text is sent or received. This court decision was based on the fact of a phone company having to hand over all text messages between two customers with a police warrant making them.
Since this is in Canada, this will probably not affect the U.S. The U.S might have a case like this in the U.S. probably in the near future. This will make police officers really work on their suspects to get enough evidence to get a warrant. Warrants need a basis off of what they want to apprehend. If the police are going off a hunch, then they will not be able to get the warrant. This will help out the privacy of not releasing any text messages. The Canadians will truly will be able to think they are protected by the Supreme Court. Police officers should also have to make an argument to put you on the actual list of suspects too.

Tech Article Assignment #1

Google is creating a new program like the Notes app and Post-Its, and it is called Keep. The Keep is going to keep you organized like the Notes app and will have reminders about your new note. The notes you make would be stored up in the cloud because it is linked with Google Drive. This app was leaked on Monday and was officially released in Google Play. There is also a search engine to find the keeps you previously created. Google Keep is only compatible with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Windows phones right now are not compatible with this app. For the Android users, the app allows you to make it a widget, and you wouldn't have to unlock the phone to create a new reminder.

I believe for a little while people with Android will switch to this new reminder system. After a new competitor releases something new, then they will go back to their old system for reminders. This app will create some new competition for newly released apps since the reminders will be displayed on the lock screen. Since this new app is created for Android users, then the buyer margin will be smaller than if it was released in the Apple Store. There is only so much you can do to spice up reminders. The other  upside will be that you can edit photos on this app. This app will only use all the photo editing features that the Android has already on the phone. All your reminders will be displayed almost Pinterest style, so the technology will be easy to start using.

What I Spend My Money On

Mostly, I just spend my money on clothes. I love online shopping, and I'm the first to admit that I'm a little addicted. Once in a while, I just go online and buy new clothes to go with the seasons. Technically, I don't spend my money because my mom makes me put my money in the bank, but I spend my parents money. You can't take away my shopping.

Other than clothes, I don't really spend my money on anything, but if I could, I would buy headphones. I want a pair of sparkly Beatz, and I also want an Iphone. Later in high school, I might get an Iphone, but probably not. I spend my money on candy too. My favorite kind of candy is sour Skittles, but I really like any type of sour candy.

I chose this picture because it was already pretty, but I wanted to try to make it better, and I believe I achieved this goal. First, I autocorrected the photo which made it have highlighted colors. Then, I decided that was too happy for what I was going for, so I tinted it so it was black and white. Using the move tool where you can move pieces of the picture to another place, I created a distorted look. Beauty is not what it looks like, but from the inside. The rain makes the white dots create the affect that it's snowing.

Online Learning

I believe online learning is a lot more efficient than a teacher being here. Students learn responsibility because no teacher is behind their back telling them to do this assignment at this time. We would also be able to move at our own pace instead of being slowed down by others or speed up. Teachers would also have the freedom of just relaxing instead of worrying about your students being up to speed with the lesson and on time with their assignments. Freedom of learning would make students more interested in learning about what they want to do.
I don't like that students would be held accountable for not being able to reach online access. Schools would probably make exceptions for kids like this, but it would be an inconvenience for the student. I also don't like if you don't understand the assignment online, then you don't have a teacher to be able to tell you what to do, so it's good to have a teacher in the classroom, but they would not have to teach. Sometimes teachers ramble on in class which takes away from our learning time and our homework time. Having online classes would help cut down on class time while learning the same amount.

Instruments For Beginners App

My app would be to play any instrument on your phone with all the real fingerings and everything. This would be an easy way to test out what instruments you want to play. If you didn't like that certain instrument, then you can go up to the scroll bar and pick any instrument. I would make it $0.99. This seems like a reasonable price because you could actually pay up to $4,000 for just a beginner instrument.

The purpose of the app would be to get more people interested in the fine arts. Many people today don't realize what they are missing, then, they decide they want to play, but it costs an ungodly amount. Regular people could use this app. It would be aimed, so that regular people would be able to understand music lingo and sometimes hard to read music. This app would also include music pieces that cost about $0.10 cents per piece. This app would save people money while also saving the fine arts perception around the world.
